MC3 cold rolling work roll , they are used in cold rolling mills to make steel plate, aluminum plate, copper plate etc. They are typically made of forged steel, which provides high toughness and purity, and are widely used in cold rolling, and other types of rolling operations
Forged steel work rolls application:

Forged work roll features:
1. Choose high strength forging material
2. Forging raw material choose ESR ingot
3. Long time annealing after forgings to remove inside stress
4. Oil quenching heat treatment to reduce crack risks
5. Double -frequency quenching to reach a high hardness value and depth layer
6. Hardness range: HRC55-65
MC3 (85Cr3MoV ) forging steel chemical specification :
(C):0.85~0.95% (Cr):1.70~2.10% (Mn):0.20~0.35%
(Mo):0.20~0.40 (Ni):≤0.25% (Si):0.25~0.45%
(P):≤0.025% (S):≤0.025%
MC3 ( 85Cr3MoV) mechanical property :
The mechanical properties of MC3 steel undergo significant changes at different tempering temperatures.
Research has shown that the microstructure of MC3 steel tempered at 550~750 ℃ is all tempered martensite.
As the tempering temperature increases, the precipitated carbides gradually transform from fine flakes to spherical shapes, and the degree of spheroidization gradually increases. When the tempering temperature reaches 700 ℃, the carbides have completely spheroidized and are uniformly dispersed on the ferrite matrix. However, when the tempering temperature exceeds 700 ℃, the granular carbides will significantly coarsen
The hardness range of MC3 work roll after quenching is 95~98HSD.
This hardness is achieved through a heat treatment process of dual frequency quenching, cold treatment, and low-temperature tempering, which meets the needs of large-scale cold rolling mills 。

1. Cold rolling carbon steel plate: 9Cr3Mo, MC3, MC5
2. Cold rolling stainless steel plate: 9Cr3Mo, MC3, MC5 etc
3. Cold rolling aluminum plate: 9Cr2Mo, 9Cr3Mo
