Operating Characteristics

Pressure Condition

Working pressure ranges from 25 to 35 MPa, featuring continuous high-pressure holding and stable long-term pressure maintenance without pressure drop.

Temperature Environment

Close to hot press plates with high ambient temperature, which easily raises oil temperature. The cylinders and seals are required to have excellent high temperature resistance.

Operation Mode

Fast advance → slow mold closing → long-term pressure holding → slow pressure relief → fast retraction, performing high-frequency cyclic operation.

Load Characteristics

Uniform heavy load bearing, synchronous operation of multiple cylinders, with strong resistance to eccentric load and torsion.

Working Medium

Common anti-wear hydraulic oil; high-temperature resistant hydraulic oil is adopted for some high-temperature production lines.

We specialize in manufacturing artificial board Press hydraulic cylinders, which are fully compatible and interchangeable with international mainstream brands such as Dieffenbacher, Siempelkamp, IMAL&PAL, YALIAN hydraulic presses.

Main Pressure Cylinder of Hot Press

Core main cylinders for wood-based panel production. Applied in high-temperature and high-pressure hot pressing forming of plywood, MDF, particleboard and multi-layer solid wood panels. Multiple cylinders work synchronously to press down, realizing panel gluing, compaction and shaping.

Pre-press Cylinder

Used for cold pre-pressing of raw board blanks to achieve preliminary compaction and air exhaust, and reduce deformation during hot pressing. Mainly adopt small-tonnage fast-moving hydraulic cylinders.

Board Loading & Unloading Lifting Cylinder

Responsible for press feeding and discharging, board stack lifting and conveyor platform jacking, featuring stable and low-speed operation.

Side Clamping Cylinder

Used for side positioning and edge trimming clamping of panels, avoiding position offset and dimensional deviation in hot pressing process.

Veneer Press / Laminating Machine Cylinder

For veneer bonding and pressing of decorative panels and paint-free panels, delivering uniform low-pressure large-area pressing force.

Multi-layer Press Cylinder

Adopted for synchronous pressing of multi-layer panels, mainly high-stroke and high-synchronization forged hydraulic cylinders.

Product Procedure

Forging Process (Core Technology)

Blanking: Adopt qualified steel ingots passed flaw detection, free of cracks and inclusions.

Heating: Heat at 1180–1250℃ for uniform full heating to avoid overheating and overburning.

Forging (Key Working Procedure):

Upsetting: Compact internal porosity and air holes.

Punching: Form hollow billets with uniform wall thickness.

Hole expanding & drawing: Ensure cylinder bore and overall length; forging ratio ≥6:1 for dense metal structure.

Shaping: Guarantee roundness and concentricity with continuous closed metal fiber flow.

Cooling: Control cooling rate to prevent cracking and obtain uniform structure.

Heat Treatment (Toughening Treatment)

Quenching and tempering: Quench at 850–880℃ plus temper at 550–600℃ to form tempered sorbite for balanced strength and toughness.

Hardness: Tempered 42CrMoA reaches HB260–300; inner wall can be nitrided to HV≥800 or high-frequency quenched to HRC58–62.

Stress relief: Conduct low-temperature stress relief after rough machining to prevent deformation.

Precision Machining (Inner Wall as Key Point)

Rough turning, deep hole rough boring, semi-finish boring after quenching and tempering.

Honing / Roller burnishing (Core process):

Roller burnishing: Realize surface work hardening to improve wear resistance and fatigue resistance.

Finish-turn outer circle, threads and flanges to ensure concentricity.

Quality Inspection (Mandatory Items)

Non-destructive testing: UT (Class I internal quality), MT (crack-free surface).

Dimensional accuracy: Inner diameter, wall thickness, roundness, cylindricity and straightness.

Hardness: Test HB/HRC hardness for each piece individually.

Pressure resistance test: Hold pressure for 5 minutes at 1.25 times working pressure without oil leakage.
