Cr3 Steel Forged Roll Sleeve

Cr3 forged steel roll sleeves are mainly used in rolling equipment for steel rolling, mining, etc. As key components of work rolls, intermediate rolls or backup rolls, the roll sleeves deliver excellent wear resistance and high toughness .Compared with integral forged steel rollers, they have the advantages of lower cost and more convenient replacement.

Cr3 steel material has become one of the most widely‑used roll materials in the modern steel rolling industry.

Cautions for Using Roll Sleeves

  1. During the installation of the Cr3 roll sleeve, ensure the fitting accuracy between the roll sleeve and roll core to avoid aggravated wear caused by loosening.

  2. Control rolling force and temperature during the rolling process to prevent surface cracks induced by thermal shock.

  3. Regularly inspect the surface hardness and wear condition of the roll sleeve, and perform timely grinding‑repair to extend its service life.

  4. Prevent rolling accidents. Although Cr3 material features good toughness, deep spalling may result in roll sleeve scrapping.
