The size of TBM disc cutters from ETERNAL ranges from 6''-19''.ETERNAL can customize different cutters according to differernt rock conditions.

ETERNAL disc cutters are equipped with well-known branded metal sealing assemblies. Specialized assembly technologies eliminate O-ring distortion and hidden air leakage risks of metal seals, ensuring long-term sealing reliability of the cutters.
ETERNAL uses heavy-duty tapered roller bearings capable of bearing combined radial and axial loads simultaneously.

2.Double Disc Cutter:Fitted with two cutter rings, it is mounted on the front face and periphery of the cutter head, mainly applied to break soft rock and composite formations of low uniaxial compressive strength.
Typical diameters: 14/17 inch (356/432 mm)

3.Triple Disc Cutter:Equipped with three cutter rings, this cutter is widely adopted for micro tunnel boring machines. It is suitable for soft rock, extremely soft rock and weathered broken strata, it can be installed on the front surface, periphery and central area of the cutter head.
Typical diameters: 12/14 inch (305/356 mm)
Cutting edges are mainly categorized into flat-edge, circular-arc edge , wedge edge,and etc,which are applicable to diverse lithology and geological conditions.

As an indispensable key component of disc cutters, the cutter ring is the first part to come into contact with rock. ETERNAL can recommend cutter rings with different designs and manufacturing processes according to rock working conditions and cutter head layout to better meet customers' demands.

The cutter rings choose high-grade die steel with Cr, Mo, V, Ni and other elements. Featuring superior wear resistance, excellent impact resistance, good hardenability and high hardness, they endow the entire disc cutter with outstanding physical and mechanical properties.
ETERNAL adopts secondary ladle refining and electroslag remelting (ESR) smelting technologies to reduce the content of harmful sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P), so as to improve material performance.

ETERNAL applies forging technology to ensure continuous streamlined metal grain flow, enhancing the strength and wear resistance of materials.
Optimized heat treatment refines grains and enables uniform dispersion of fine spherical alloy carbides. ETERNAL can reach HRC 55–60 of the surface hardness with a quenching depth exceeding 20 mm.

Gauge cutters (peripheral cutters): Replace when wear reaches 10~15 mm
Face cutters / center cutters: Replace when wear reaches 20~25 mm
Double-edge center disc cutters: The whole cutter shall be replaced if wear of either single edge ≥20 mm, or the wear difference between two edges >8 mm.
Other replacement conditions: cutter ring damage, abnormal cutter rotation, failed sealing or lubrication system.
